Since Grossing is one of the pillar steps in specimen preparation toward pathology diagnosis, AFMS partners with Milestone and HIPLAAS to provide the best in class and innovative solutions for grossing step. Enabling full comfort and traceability option for pathologists to generate full documentation of the grossing.
UltraGROSS begins a new era of grossing devices. For the first time ever, the grossing station becomes a scientific tool. With UltraGROSS, the pathologist generates full documentation and ensures complete traceability of the grossing, maintaining intact the chain of custody. This new scientific tool incorporates several innovations that have a direct impact on the laboratory and its workflow.
Enhanced user safety | Tailor-made modularity | Optimal ergonomics | Macro digital documentation | Smart user interface | Four editions to match your needs
Four UltraGROSS editions have already been set up to cover the majority of lab requirements, each one carries the name of a famous pathologist, as recognition for their contributions to the art of grossing;
This all-in-one grossing workstation has been specifically designed to integrate state-of-the-art tools and standardization into a 21st-century system for gross tissue dissection.
eGROSS is the first to incorporate the digital power of specimen identification and dissection documentation, introducing a standardized image documenting protocol.
The MacroPATH, a user-oriented capture and storage system for macro images of patient specimens, is integrated with the eGROSS.
It dramatically reduces specimen turnaround time at the grossing station compared to conventional shoot-and-capture handheld systems. Autofocus, auto-light adjustment, and hands-free operation through a foot pedal enable users to concentrate on the patient case without manual intervention.
Offering a full range of elevating grossing stations from HIPLAAS to provide the best user experience possible. This range of elevating grossing stations is designed to ensure comfortable use while either sitting or standing by adjusting the height of the worktop with two electro-mechanical actuators with millimeter adjustment. In its lowest position, the worktop is at a height of 80 cm. The height of the worktop allows for a 30 cm margin of adjustment, reaching a final height of 110 cm.
Our elevating grossing range (7 systems) is available in 150cm, 200cm or 240cm wide with options to choose from back-draft or dua-draft ventilation systems. The 200cm and 240cm wide systems are offering two workstations in one solution, ideal for large laboratories that require multiple processes at the same time. The two workstations share the central sink, they can be configured in a mirrored way, however, they can be configured with a different set of accessories. The 150cm Dualdraft system is also available with Imaging System.
